It was built by the mathematician and the first rector of the University of Ljubljana, Josip Plemelj (1873-1967), as his private home.
He bequeathed it to the Society of Mathematicians, Physicists and Astronomers of Slovenia to use it for summer schools, workshops,
seminars, and vacationing of its members. It is located about 100 m
away from the main bus station and 300 m away from the famous
Lake Bled.
